Guideline for STS-HVDF 2025 Mentorship Program
The 2025 STS-Heart Valve Disease Forum Mentorship Program is an exclusive opportunity designed for early-career attendees of the Valve Forum from Asia, including Korea. Distinguished cardiac surgeons from the STS attending the Valve Forum will serve as mentors, providing invaluable guidance to young cardiac surgeons as they navigate their career paths. During the Valve Forum, the mentees will have the opportunity to engage in one-to-one meetings with their mentors.The mentors from the STS will offer expert advice on various aspects, including career planning, professional networking, and overcoming the challenges that mentees may encounter throughout their careers. The STS-Mentorship Program will serve as an inspiring platform, fostering mentees’ confidence and resilience in their professional endeavors.
To participate in the STS-Mentorship Program, interested attendees should submit the following documents: (1) a comprehensive curriculum vitae encompassing academic and professional background, clinical experience, and research contributions/publications, and (2) a personal statement that outlines their goals, aspirations in the field of cardiac surgery, and motivations for seeking mentorship through the STS-Mentorship Program. Abstract presenters will be given higher priority for selection into the Program.

Kindly note that all applicants are required to complete the registration to the Valve Forum first before submitting their applications. The Organizing Committee, in collaboration with esteemed STS mentors, will meticulously review all applications. After a few weeks of application submission deadline, selected mentees will be matched with mentors and contacted via email to facilitate their meetings.
